Temi e sfide della valutazione per la linguistica educativa italiana (e non solo)

Abstract

In questo saggio, che si colloca idealmente nel presente, ma che, soprattutto, guarda al futuro delle questioni attinenti all’educazione linguistica in Italia e in particolare alla verifica e alla valutazione delle competenze linguistiche, vorremmo proporre degli spunti di riflessio- ne su alcuni elementi chiave della valutazione linguistica e sulle sfide e sulle opportunità che si aprono a una pluralità di soggetti. Le questio- ni della valutazione delle competenze linguistiche, per la natura forte- mente pervasiva del testing, non possono infatti non riguardare soggetti differenti, a seconda dei contesti in cui ci muoviamo, come ad esempio nella scuola, in cui alunni, professori, dirigenti scolastici, genitori, sono in qualche modo toccati dalla valutazione, oppure in contesti più ampi, come ad esempio nel caso dei test per ottenere il diritto di vivere in un certo Paese, per cui non solo colui che vive in una condizione migrante è direttamente coinvolto, ma la società tutta è toccata da questioni di ambito linguistico. E ancora, quando si affrontano questioni di testing non possiamo non pensare a soggetti come autori di materiali didattici, tecnici delle certificazioni linguistiche, policy makers che possono essere condizionati da o, viceversa, possono influenzare le pratiche valutatorie.
