In this completed research, the study of the domus of Meleager allowed to identify problems shared with other domus as regards accessibility as well as practicability: in order to confront and solve them, we proposed coherent solutions and interventions, compatible with the great many factors and variables that characterise a complex archaeological site like Pompeii. Therefore we were careful to follow several guiding criteria for defining options influenced by parameters of compatibility including: conservation of the antique material, use of compatible materials, obligation of scheduled maintenance, improvement of physical conditions, these all being features that must find the right balance through technical solutions. In addition to this type of intervention, for the house of Meleager works were planned with the aim of harmonising the demands of fruition with those of conservation and valorisation.
