Abstract

Oggi, l’informatica umanistica vanta una presenza vasta e articolata nei programmi di studio universitari e, di conseguenza, può già contare su una tradizione manualistica e divulgativa molto varia e di alto livello ad esempio, Fiormonte 2003, Fiormonte-Numerico-Tomasi 2010, Lazzari 2014.2 Fatto degno di nota, gli autori di questi volumi non vengono dagli studi letterari o filologici, ma hanno una formazione improntata alla linguistica (Fiormonte), alla filosofia della scienza (Numerico) o alla computer science (Lazzari, Tomasi). La conseguente impostazione della materia fa perno soprattutto sull’evoluzione tecnologica e sulle applicazioni informatiche: del resto, è lo stesso sintagma ‘informatica umanistica’ a dare maggior rilievo alla parte computazionale, analogamente a quanto suggeriva la denominazione – un tempo dominante nel mondo anglofono – di humanities computing (che ha poi ceduto il passo alla più ampia nozione di digital humanities).
