Teaching landscape architecture requires a continuous dynamism among different scales, integrated methodologies, comparisons among different temporal and design scenarios. Learning to understand the complexity of the landscape and addressing its design requires a very diversified exercise, which combines the theoretical lesson with field observations, critical analysis of projects, interdisciplinary team work and individual reflections and elaborations. The teaching of landscape analysis and design requires continuous updating, in order to be able to lead students, through intriguing activities and incentive for creativity and for the development of a curious and open attitude, along a path of personal growth and expression. New forms of learning, of mutual dialogue, of listening, can be valid tools for capturing attention, opening new connections, establishing new knowledge and finally acquiring the necessary skills for the project (quoting Michel Corajoud : getting effervescent, exploring and going beyond your limits, crossing different scales, anticipating and defending the coherence of your project). As part of the Landscape Analysis and Design Studio , some innovative experimentations were started in the 2019-2020 academic year, with the aim of actively involving students, building up an open relationship, which allowed for and facilitated their free expression, highlighting their point of view and their needs. Some activities were carried out to enrich the teaching methods of the Workshop, which requires close interaction between the students and the teacher, in order to be able to understand the complexity of the landscape, starting from the phase of analysis and evaluation, from which the main choices of the project come from.
