Abstract

La natura dinamica e multi-prospettica dei nomi dei luoghi contiene le stratificazioni sociali, l'economia, il rapporto con la religione, insomma la rete viva delle relazioni tra centro e periferia, tra città e campagna, tra clan e famiglie, tra umani e animali, tra campanili, mercati e altri luoghi laici, tra mare e montagna, tra economie e conformazioni orografiche. La toponomastica aiuta anche a interrogare la sconosciuta rete di cambiamenti geografici, sociali, urbanistici e storici di cui oggi siamo parte. La toponomastica è, in tal senso, tutt’altro che una curiosità folkloristica: è un tema contemporaneo che continua ad essere assai complicato e di estrema importanza per quanti vivono la modernità con tutte le sue implicazioni di incertezza e di instabilità, di possibilità e di confronto, all’interno di un pensiero aperto che evoca nel lettore sia il senso di nuovi sviluppi, sia la passione della partecipazione attiva ad un dialogo non retorico, che sia il punto di partenza per altri e ulteriori approfondimenti sulla cultura che, in questo caso, riguarda le comunità del Pescarese.
