Abstract

Il legame tra processo edilizio e innovazione industriale ha da sempre rispecchiato le conoscenze del contesto culturale e produttivo dei diversi luoghi di appartenenza. Dalle prime case prefabbricate, spedite dall’Europa verso gli Stati Uniti, per i coloni emigrati e, successivamente, in risposta a condizioni particolari quali il grande rientro delle truppe americane dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, l’industria ha fornito modelli semplificati per l’abitare. Successivamente, sperimentazioni quali il Case Study Houses e recenti esperienze MAP (Moduli Abitativi Provvisori) per emergenza post terremoto, hanno alimentato studi e ricerche e la stessa produzione industriale. Il volume rappresenta una riflessione per l’individuazione dei temi fondativi da affrontare nel prossimo futuro dove l’evoluzione, dal progetto al prodotto di qualità per l’industria delle costruzioni, rappresenta la sfida per i prossimi anni.
