Abstract

In ambito organizzativo definiamo la resilienza come la capacità di prevenire, fronteggiare e sfruttare con efficacia le dinamiche avverse che si possono generare da processi di cambiamento, situazioni di crisi o stati di emergenza. Ciò vuol dire essere organizzati in modo tale da poter assorbire e, ove possibile, riqualificare a proprio vantaggio i danni, gli eventi imprevisti e i fenomeni di stress. In contesti a elevata complessità dove, a causa della forte interconnessione delle attività, la propagazione degli impatti e delle ripercussioni di eventi distruttivi è immediata, le organizzazioni sono chiamate a far fronte alle mutevoli e spesso inattese sollecitazioni che genera- no tensioni, a volte talmente significative da metterne a repentaglio persino la tenuta sul mercato; è crescente la probabilità che si debbano fronteggiare delle avversità anche del tutto inattese. Non si tratta solo di fronteg- giare eventi disastrosi, concentrando sforzi e attenzioni al post-evento, quanto di essere abili nel gestire contemporaneamente e con continuità i processi di day-by-day management e i processi di resilience management che attivano i diversi livelli organizzativi – dalla persona, ai reparti, ai team, all’intera community – a fronte di sollecitazioni avverse in parte probabili, intuibili, immaginabili e, in parte, imprevedibili.
