Abstract

Le ricerche del Dipartimento Ambiente Reti e Territorio (DART) hanno esplorato il tema delle infrastrutture sotto molteplici punti di vista con l’obiettivo di contrastare l'autoreferenzialità del mondo infrastrutturale, le cui ripercussioni negative sono particolarmente evidenti tanto sul territorio quanto sul paesaggio. Dalla prima metà degli anni ’90 appariva chiaro coma la pianificazione e la progettazione delle infrastrutture ponessero in rilievo una pluralità di questioni che vanno dall’indifferenza rispetto ai contesti attraversati, alle potenzialità inespresse nelle trasformazioni del territorio. Questioni che si manifestavano (e si manifestano) quando le infrastrutture sono viste solo come opere di ingegneria e non come esito di un dialogo interdisciplinare che considera il progetto delle reti infrastrutturali come parte di un processo più generale di modificazione degli ambienti insediativi locali.
