Abstract

Il saggio nasce dalla volontà di interrogarsi sui recenti fenomeni migratori da una prospettiva filosofica, riflettendo sulla categoria di alterità e sulla figura dello straniero – xenos – che emerge, nella sua polarità e ambiguità, come elemento critico nei confronti degli ordinamenti socio-politici e al contempo della nostra stessa capacità di comprensione e definizione. La filosofia contemporanea ha assunto su di sé lo sforzo, ereditato dalla filosofia precedente, di pensare il rapporto tra identità e alterità sulla base di quella che si potrebbe tentare di definire come una “ontologia relazionale”. Nel presente saggio si indaga in particolare il pensiero di Jacques Derrida per trattare una concezione di identità che conserva in sé consistenti residui di alterità, in una correlazione strutturale – sempre inquietante, minacciosa – tra io e altro, stesso e diverso, familiare ed estraneo. Questa concezione della soggettività viene da Derrida posta in connessione al pensiero del dono: nel contributo si sostiene dunque una ricaduta etica, sollecitata dall’attualità, della filosofia decostruttiva.
