Bu çalışmada temel amaç, kültür ve ideoloji kavramlarının Cemil Meriç'in görüşlerindeki karşılıklarını incelemektir. Kültür kavramı, genel olarak, bir ferdin sosyal ve zihni formasyonu, kişiliğinin, gıda, zevk, duyarlılık yönünden olgunluğa ermesi anlamını taşımaktadır. İdeoloji kavramı ise tasavvurların kurulma tarzını, kaynağını ve konularını arayan bilim manasında kullanılmakla birlikte, siyasi, ahlaki, felsefi ve dini sahalarda bilimlerinkine benzer kesin bilgi getirmek iddiasında olan teoriler anlamını da içermektedir. Bu bağlamda incelendiğinde Meriç, kültür kavramının tarifinin ardından, bir bilme, bir seziş halinin ürünü olan irfanı açıklamış ve bu kavrama dönülmesinin gerekliliğini ortaya koymuştur. Kültürün yanı sıra, bu kavramla ilintili olan ideoloji kavramı da incelendiğinde, Meriç, onu dünya görüşü bağlamında ifade etmiş, ardından, ideolojilerden bahsetmek suretiyle her birinin tanınması gerektiğinin önemini ortaya koymuştur.Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, bir düşünce insanı olan Cemil Meriç'in kişiliğinin özelliklerini yansıtan bilgilere yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, kültür kavramına ilişkin tanımlamalar, temel kavramlar ve konunun içeriğine ilişkin Meriç'in düşünceleri incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise ideoloji kavramın tarifleri, onunla ilişkili kavramlar, ortaya çıkan ideolojiler ve bu minval üzere Meriç'in ifadeleri irdelenmiştir. The main purpose of this study to examine the corresponding views of Cemil Meriç the concepts of culture and ideology. In general concept of culture, means in terms of sensitivity of an induvidual, social and mental formation personality, food enjoyment, maturity termination. The second section is definitions of the concept of culture, the basic concepts and ideas of Mr. Meriç. On the third part, recipes of the concept of ideology, concepts associated with it, occuring ideology and about this subject was examined Mr. Meriç expressions.
