KIYMETLİ MADENLERİN BİRBİRLERİYLE İLİŞKİSİ: ASİMETRİK NEDENSELLİK

Abstract

Kıymetli madenler doğada çok az bulunan, insanlar tarafından tasarruf aracı olarak kullanılan bir emtia çeşididir. Kıymetli madenler içerisinde işlem hacmi en fazla olan altın, platin ve gümüştür. Toplum tarafından en çok bilinen madenlerden olan altın, yatırımcılar tarafından da en çok tercih edilen yatırım aracıdır. 1980’li yıllardan sonra küreselleşmenin artmasıyla ülkeler arası ticaret hacmi ve buna bağlı olarak kıymetli madenlere olan talep de artmıştır. Portföyünü çeşitlendirmek isteyen yatırımcılar son zamanlarda kıymetli taşlara yönelmiş ve portföylerin de yer vererek kazanç elde etmişlerdir. Ülkelerin büyümelerinde önemli katkıları olan madenlerin ithalat ve ihracat gibi ekonomik göstergeler üzerinde de etkileri bulunmaktadır. Altın, gümüş, paladyum gibi madenlerin fiyatlarında meydana gelen değişiklikler ülkelerin dış ticaret gücünü de etkilemektedir. Çalışmanın amacı 08.09.2009-12.02.2019 tarihleri arasındaki haftalık verileri kullanarak kıymetli madenlerden olan altın, gümüş, iridyum, osmiyum, paladyum, platin, renyum, rodyum ve rutenyumun aralarındaki ilişkilerin Granger ve asimetrik nedensellik modelleri kullanılarak analiz edilmesidir. Çalışmada kıymetli madenlerin arasında nedensellik olduğu belirlenmiştir.
