Dra(a)g is a poem that interrogates the meaning of the word 'drag' (in the sense of 'drag king' / 'drag queen'). It notes the possible connection to the Dutch word 'draag' meaning 'to wear' and related terms such as 'gedrag' ('behaviour') and 'verdragen' ('surviving') to imply that all forms of clothing and/or gender performativity can in their own way be considered forms of drag. The poem was published in a Judith Butler / gender performativity-themed special issue of the journal 'Not Very Quiet'. original creative work - textual work
