Inglés : Starting from the teachings that were taught in each of the religious orders settled in the city of Écija, we stop at the convent of San Pablo and Santo Domingo of the Order of Preachers, to focus on their library. This convent must have had a library adapted to their needs thanks to donations, so in order to increase their volumes they asked the government to give them the library of San Fulgencio school. Given the refusal of the Board of temporalities, the Prior requested only those books that they did not have in their library and that were in that of the company. For that purpose, they sent an inventory that we have transcribed and attached. The government’s refusal was resounding, as university and public archbishops libraries prevailed
