Estudio de los materiales empleados en la construcción de los tapiales de las murallas de Granada

Abstract

Las murallas, objeto de nuestro estudio se sitúan en granada, constituyendo un elemento esencial de su paisaje urbano y formando parte de su amplio patrimonio histórico. Estas murallas están levantadas en tierra, empleando el tapial como técnica constructiva. el desinterés que se le ha venido dando a este tipo de edificios ha hecho que la mayoría de ellos nos hayan llegado en un estado alarmante de deterioro. esto obliga, para el caso de estas murallas, a que se realice sobre ellas un estudio a fin de aportar a los restauradores mayores conocimientos sobre este tipo de edificaciones. en el estudio de este conjunto monumental se ha seguido básicamente una metodología de campo y otra de laboratorio, que ha tenido como objetivo, por una parte, caracterizar el material empleado en la construcción y localizar la/s cantera/s de extracción del material, y por otra tener constancia del estado de conservación en el que se encuentra
