It is a blessing that there is no language of pure interiority. We have to say our own for the sake of what is most common to all, which is only possible if we give back to the things of the world all their weight, all their dignity. Our identity is always that of a voice in the chorus. And in the interior space we will have to leave a void to see if God inhabits it.

Es una bendición que no haya lenguaje de la interioridad pura. Tenemos que decir lo más propio nuestro por lo más común a todos, lo cual no es posible más que si devolvemos a las cosas del mundo todo su peso, toda su dignidad. Nuestra identidad es siempre la de una voz en el coro. Y en el espacio interior habrá que dejar un vacío para ver si Dios lo habita.
