Jerónimo Nadal was a man of action. To that he added the capacity of elaborating theoretical developments which deeply influenced the legacy about Ignatius of Loyola. The narration of his distressed maturation process until he became a disciple of the "Ignatius who wrote the Spiritual Exercises", which is contained in the Chronicon Natalis, is a key biographical contribution to the theoretical study of the so-called "ignatian spirituality".
