"Sentir y gustar" (Ej 2). Sensibilidad estética

Abstract

Ignatian spirituality, especially in its dynamism of the Spiritual Exercises, helps one to grow in an aesthetic sensibility, starting from an encounter with Beauty as the paradoxically disfigured Form, "crowned with thorns and crucified" (Balthasar). For the Ignatian subject, the Ecce Homo is the model of all beauty and all art, which has to inform all life as the aesthetic verification of the ethical and moral dimension of service to the poor, and festive dimensión of communitarian celebration. The composition of place plays an essential role in this activity of positioning the Ignatian subject, on the way to the Father and in the Spirit, a process of configuration and syntonization with Christ, Name and Face in times of anonymity and false transparencies.
