Cómo construir tu carrera profesional

Abstract

The objective of this book is to offer a guide to young university students who are preparing to start their professional career. We all have a place in the labor market, but sometimes we feel it is difficult to find given the complexity and competitiveness of the work environment. For many years now, the authors of this book have finished our university studies and we still remember perfectly how we faced the first interviews, the first days of work ... it is as if it had happened yesterday! How we would have appreciated some simple tips that at that time we did not know. Our work has allowed us to keep in touch with many students during their work search processes, and on numerous occasions we have perceived lack of training on practical aspects. The first decisions about your professional career are important for your future. The paradox is that the least information we have is when we face the decisions that will determine us the most. We hope that reading this book will help something. In the first block we will analyze the trends that mark the future of the labor market and how are the selection processes of the current companies that we face as candidates. In the second block, we will highlight some important principles to plan and build our professional career. In the third block, we will discuss practical aspects and tips that will help you to face the job search like the CV, the interviews and the management of your personal brand among other topics. Finally, we will present some practical cases that illustrate the aforementioned theory.
