Abstract

This communication aims to present the first results of a survey conducted as the main research technique "Geo-referenced multifactorial study of insecurity in Spain and its correspondence with subjective insecurity" (reference: CSO2016-77549-P (AEI / FEDER , EU)) financed by the National R & D Plan. We propose that in order to study subjective insecurity it is necessary to relate both the individual and the social level, in a series of characteristics that include not only crime data, but also consider the data on what we have called "social risk factors". "And about citizens' own feeling of insecurity. This feeling of insecurity, as we put it, also covers the much-studied "fear of crime", contents related to vital uncertainties. Fear of crime and vital uncertainties of Spaniards, are the indicators for which we wanted to collect information through the survey that is now presented.
