La familia en el cristianismo primitivo. Lecciones e impulsos para hoy

Abstract

The journey of Christianity in the first four centuries brings us closer to an experience in which fathers and mothers were really for their children the first preachers of faith, through word and example. Throughout this article will study those works that more directly address how the family was a specific area of growth and transmission of faith. They also emphasize the need to exercise in ways of life and work, in behaviors and ways of working that testify of Christ and are in themselves eloquent of the Gospel that they believed and announced. In these documents we find exhortations and advice about the contents, methods and purposes of children's education. The article ends with a reflection on the relevance of these testimonies in the challenges facing families today in the face of the Christian education of their children.
