Voto público en Instituto de vida consagrada

Abstract

Vow is the means by which some forms of consecrated life (religious and hermits) assume the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience. The code defines the vow as the a deliberate and free promise made to God about a possible and better good by reason of the virtue of religion. Public vow is that which is received by a legitimate superior in the name of the Church; Otherwise the vote is private. It is legitimate to receive the votes that is recognized by this right by the right of its Institute. The public vote may be, temporary or perpetual, simple or solemn. The universal law and proper determines the effects of the votes and the various forms of dispensation of the same.
