La implantación del euro y el nuevo entorno monetario que se genera asociada a ella afecta a las instituciones financieras, especialmente a las de crédito. En este capitulo se analizan el proceso de adaptación que estas entidades deben afrontar y cuáles pueden ser las consecuencias de la tercera fase de la UEM en ellas.

The introduction of the euro and the new monetary environment generated by it affect financial institutions, especially credit institutions. In this chapter we analyze the adaptation process that these entities must face and what the consequences of the third phase of the EMU can be in them.
