Objetivo: identificar las necesidades del enfermo de SIDA terminal, determinar cuáles les generan mayor preocupación y averiguar qué factores contribuyen a su bienestar. Material y método: se llevó a cabo un estudio descriptivo transversal. Como instrumento para la recogida de los datos se utilizó un cuestionario dirigido a pacientes con SIDA en fase avanzada o terminal, mediante una entrevista guiada, basado en el creado por R. Bayes. Resultados: la población estudiada tenía una edad media de 34,8, mayoritariamente eran hombres en los que sus necesidades y preocupaciones prioritarias son las derivadas de su problemática social, como la soledad y el aislamiento, al contrario de lo que ocurre en otro tipo de pacientes en situación terminal.
Objective: to identify the needs of terminal AIDS patients, determine what are their greatest worries and investigate the factors that contribute to their well-being. Material and method: a transversal descriptive study is performed. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire for patients with AIDS in an advanced or terminal phase filled in during a guided interview. The questionnaire was based on the one created by R. Bayes. Results: the population studied had an average age of 34,8, and most were men whose needs and worries were derived from their social problems such as the isolation, contrary to what happens with other patients in a terminal situation.
