Tras varios años de impartir el módulo de Comercio Justo en el Master Universitario de Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas había constatado que era necesaria una cierta innovación pedagógica que combinara la necesaria formación en los conceptos, procesos y terminología propios del tema con una aplicación práctica. Así, en la edición 2015-2016 propuse realizar un informe para la dirección de la Universidad en el que se establecieran las bases para implementar criterios de Comercio Justo en la misma, no sólo en docencia e investigación sino en la vida cotidiana. Esta propuesta venia inspirada por mi participación en la iniciativa Universidades por un Comercio Justo así como por mi conocimiento y mis contactos en el sector y el convencimiento de que en un Master es necesario dar claves para la reflexión y el aprendizaje pero a la vez proporcionar herramientas para la transformación de la realidad.

After several years of teaching a module of Fair Trade at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas Master Degree in International Cooperation for Development, I have found that some pedagogical innovation was needed, combining the necessary training in the concepts, processes and terminology of the subject with practical application. Thus, in the academica year 2015-2016 my proposal was to write a report for the University s Board, in which the bases to implement Fair Trade criteria were established, not only in which regards teaching and/or research but in everyday life. This proposal came inspired by my participation in the initiative Universities for Fair Trade as well as for my knowledge and contacts in the sector and the belief that at a Master s Degree is necessary to give clues for reflection and learning but also to provide tools for the transformation of reality.
