La historia de la unificación lingüística en Italia es la historia de un pueblo que, a lo largo de los siglos XIX y XX, crea una herramienta de comunicación nacional. La lengua estándar, condicionada por la presencia de variedades dialectales en la época preunitaria, se transforma en una lengua regional rica en ecos autóctonos desde el punto de vista fonético, morfológico y léxico.
The history of the italian linguistic unification is the history of the italian people, who sets up a a new national communication tool. The standard language, determined by pre-unitarian dialects, becomes a regional language with local features.
