Abstract

Since the beginning of the 21st century, technological innovations and digitization have led to profound changes in business and organizational structures. While access to information has become easier, globalization and competitive conditions have become more challenging. Representing the fourth industrial revolution, 'Industry 4.0' has transformed the process of reaching consumers from production by integrating technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and the Internet of Things. The business world is rapidly evolving under the influence of technological advancements and digital transformation. Digitalization and digital transformation have now become a necessity. In this context, 'digitalization' refers to organizations digitizing their business processes, while 'digital transformation' denotes the successful implementation of this digitization. Digital leadership requires not only technological competencies but also the ability to guide change, encourage innovation, and motivate teams. Digital transformation is a process that encompasses leadership and organizational change. Digital leaders play crucial roles in guiding organizations through technological change and making them competitive. The integration of organizational models and processes through technology in the context of digital transformation emphasizes the critical role of organizational agility. The aim of the thesis is to thoroughly examine the role of leadership and organizational agility in the process of digital transformation. Regression analyses and T-test analyses were employed to examine hypothesis tests. According to the analysis results, it is concluded that leadership has a significant impact on organizational agility in digital transformation processes.

21. yüzyılın başından itibaren yaşanan teknolojik yenilikler ve dijitalleşme, işletme ve organizasyon yapılarında köklü değişikliklere yol açmıştır. Bilgiye erişim kolaylaşırken, küreselleşme ve rekabet koşulları daha zorlu hale gelmiştir. 'Endüstri 4.0', dördüncü sanayi devrimini temsil ederken, yapay zekâ, büyük veri analitiği ve nesnelerin interneti gibi teknolojiler, üretimden tüketicilere ulaşım sürecini dönüştürmüştür. İş dünyası, teknolojik ilerlemeler ve dijital dönüşüm etkisi altında hızla değişmektedir. Dijitalleşme ve dijital dönüşüm, artık bir zorunluluk haline gelmiştir. Bu bağlamda, 'dijitalleşme' organizasyonların iş süreçlerini dijitalleştirmesini, 'dijital dönüşüm' ise bu dijitalleşmeyi başarıyla uygulamalarını ifade etmektedir. Dijital liderlik, teknolojik yetkinliklerin yanı sıra değişimi yönlendirme, inovasyonu teşvik etme ve takımları motive etme yeteneklerini gerektirmektedir. Dijital dönüşüm, liderlik ve örgütsel değişimi de içeren bir süreçtir. Dijital liderler, organizasyonları teknolojik değişime yönlendirme ve rekabetçi kılmada önemli görevler üstlenmektedir. Dijital dönüşümün organizasyonların iş modellerini ve süreçlerini teknoloji aracılığıyla entegre etmesi, bu bağlamda örgütsel çeviklik kavramının bu süreçte kritik bir rol oynaması gerektiği vurgulanmaktadır. Tezin amacı, dijital dönüşüm sürecinde liderliğin ve örgütsel çevikliğin rolünü detaylı bir şekilde incelemektir. Hipotez testlerini incelemek amacıyla regresyon analizleri ve T testi analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre dijital dönüşüm süreçlerinde liderliğin örgütsel çeviklik üzerinde anlamlı etkisinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
