Abstract

VIII ABSTRACT One of the most important subject of Optoelectronics is laser electronics. Nowadays laser takes very important place in industry, communications, medical, entertainment world, defence industry, computer industry and space explorations. Depending on the used material, types of lasers ranges are solid-state lasers, gas lasers, dye lasers, semiconductor lasers. In this study, general specifications of laser system are researched. Generally, all kinds of laser systems are overviewed, fundamental processes such as pumping which are performed during the laser radiation obtaining state crossing are researched between levels, and gain saturation are investigated. In order to plot the necessary curves, Matlab programs were written, results were given graphically.
