Abstract

Bu çalışmada vergi ahlakı ile sosyal sermaye arasındaki ilişki sıralı Probit yöntemi kullanılarak araştırılmaktadır. Çalışmada Dünya Değerler Anketi’nin 46 ülkeyi kapsayan 2008 verileri kullanılmıştır. Sıralı Probit modelinde din, cinsiyet, medeni durum, eğitim gibi vergi ahlakını açıklayan değişkenler ile birlikte sosyal sermaye değişkeni de analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları, sosyal sermayenin vergi ahlakı belirleyicilerinden biri olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde vergi ahlakı ve vergi ahlakını belirleyicileri tartışılmıştır. İkinci bölüm de ise sosyal sermaye kavramı tanımlanmıştır. Modelde kullanılan veri, model ve yöntem bölümünden sonra elde edilen bulgular sunulmuştur.

This study investigates the relationship between tax morale and social capital with ordered Probit method. We use the World Values Survey 2008 data which covering 46 countries. The results show that the social capital is one of the determinants of tax morale. We discuss tax morale and its determinants in the first section. We define the concept of social capital in the second section. After the model, data and methodology section, we present findings.
