Abstract

Denizli ilinde faaliyet gösteren küçük ve orta ölçekli isletmelerin (KOB?)stratejik yönetim konularındaki uygulamalarının neler olduğunu, stratejikyönetim kararlarının hangi örgütsel düzeyde alındığını, stratejik yönetimintemelini olusturan SWOT analizinin ve diğer bilimsel tekniklerin tanınma vekullanılma durumlarını ortaya koymak bu arastırmanın amaçları arasındadır.Bunun yanında bu çalısma, KOB?'ler nezdinde yaygın olarak bilinmeyenstratejik yönetimin önemini hatırlatarak farkındalık yaratmak bakımındanönemlidir.Arastırmanın uygulama kısmında modern anket yöntemi olan e-posta ankettekniği kullanılmıstır. Denizli Ticaret Odası (DTO) üye veri tabanında yer alan vee-posta adresi mevcut olan yaklasık 1.800 isletmeye anket gönderilmistir. Ayrıca,kisisel bağlantılar kurulan isletme sahiplerinden anketi doldurmaları telefonla ricaedilmistir.Anketlerin değerlendirilmesi neticesinde, Denizli KOB?'lerinde stratejikyönetimin yaygın olarak uygulanmadığı, stratejik planın kısa süreli is planlarıylakarıstırıldığı, stratejik yönetim ve ilgili kavramların iyi bilinmediği ve soruların bubilinmezlikle çeliskili sekilde cevaplandırıldığı görülmüstür.Bunun yanında, Denizli KOB?'lerinin çoğunlukla büyüme stratejilerinitercih eğilimleri ve yöneticilerin demografik ve kisilik özellikleri ile stratejiktercihleri arasında anlamlı iliski olduğu tespit edilmistir. Bu anlamda, KOB?'lerinstratejik yönetim ve kendi durumlarına uygun alternatif stratejiler konularındabilinçlendirilmeleri ve desteklenmeleri gerektiği sonucuna varılmıstır.

By this study, it is aimed to determine how SMEs in Denizli understand andimplement strategic management and strategic planning issues through theirenterprises.The goal of this study is to determine the knowledge and usage frequenciesof the strategic management aptitudes and implementations, SWOT analyze andother scientific strategic management analyze technics done by SMEs in Denizli.On the other hand, the driving force behind the study is increasing awarenessraisingon strategic management approach which is not known well enough bySMEs.E-mail survey, a modern survey technique, has been used in implementationof the research. Survey was sent to 1.800 enterprises placed in Denizli Chamber ofCommerce?s member database. Some surveys requested by telephone fromenterprise owners who are known personally.It is understood that by the results of the evaluation of surveys, strategicmanagement is not implemented widely in SMEs of Denizli, the concept of strategicplan is confused with business plans of enterprises and strategic management andrelated concept are not known well enough as contradictional answers also shows.On the other hand, it is confirmed that SMEs in Denizli mostly prefer growthstrategies and there are expressive relations between demographic and personalcharacteristics of administrators and their strategic preferences. By the way, SMEsneed to know more about strategic management and alternative strategies forthemselves and may be supported.
