Hedef programlama yöntemi ile otobüs sefer sayılarının tespit edilmesi

Abstract

In this thesis study, urban public transportation systems in Turkey are examined and specifically, bus operations in the mixed traffic. This system is researched by the method of goal programming. With the ever-increasing population in our country and in the world, the importance of public transportation systems is getting more and more important. Increasing populations in personal private car use causes traffic problems and therefore, solutions are sought. Sustainability and planning of public transport systems are at the forefront of these solutions. As economic costs of public transportation investments are high, these decisions are especially difficult to manage. In addition to this, it is possible to decrease the operating cost by operating the planned investments constructively. The frequency of daily service frequency is of high importance for sustainable public transport. Therefore, especially at peak times during the day, passenger demand must be calculated. This requirement has been calculated according to the linear function and the number of daily service frequency has been re-determined according to the data. In the content of dissertation, daily service frequency of bus operation system in Denizli Turkey province are examined and suggestions about the frequency of daily trips are offered.
