Nogay Masallarında Yarış

Abstract

Nogay Türkçesinde “smas”olarak geçen yarış, Nogay masallarında genellikle hanın güzel kızı ile evlenmek esasına dayanır. At üstünde bir hendekten atlama, kılıç kılıca savaş, okla bir hedefi vurma, teke tek güreşme gibi daha çok güç yarışı şeklindedir. Bu yarışlarda iyi yürekli kahramanlara olağanüstü güçlere sahip olan kişiler de yardım ederler. Erkeklerle güç yarışına giren pehlivan kadınlar, orduya önderlik eden kadm kahramanlar görülür. Kadm ve erkek güç yarışı için karşı karşıya kaldıklarında ise erkek kahraman genellikle kadın rakibine aşık olup yenilir ve onunla yarışmaz. Hemen her yarışta ise iyi yürekli kişiler kazanır.
