Riskli gebelik geçiren kadinlarin gelecekteki gebelik niyetinin belirlenmesi

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the future pregnancy intentions of women who have experienced high-risk pregnancies. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with pregnant women who applied to the Obstetrics and Gynecology outpatient clinic of a Training and Research Hospital located in the Central Black Sea region of Turkey between October 2023 and May 2024.The sample size of the study was determined to be at least 349. The study was completed with 349 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected face-to-face using a socio-demographic information form and the Risk Assessment Form developed by the Ministry of Health. Descriptive statistics and the chi-square test were used for data analysis. The mean age of the participants was 30.16±5.592 years. Among them, 31.8% had a history of stillbirth or neonatal loss in a previous pregnancy, 3.7% had experienced three or more spontaneous abortions, 24.9% were currently aged 35 or older, and 10.3% had Rh incompatibility in a current or previous pregnancy. Additionally, 40.1% of the pregnant women reported the use of tobacco, alcohol, or other substances. Notably, 43% of participants stated that they did not intend to become pregnant again due to having experienced a high-risk pregnancy. However, there was no statistically significant difference in the intention to become pregnant again based on the level of pregnancy risk (p>0.05).

Gebelerin %40.1'i sigara, alkol veya diğer madde kullanmaktadır. Katılımcıların %43'ü riskli gebelik geçirdiği için tekrar gebelik düşünmemektedir. Risk düzeylerine göre katılımcıların tekrar gebelik düşünme niyetleri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir(p<0.05).
