. The main purpose of this study is to investigate primary school students’ perceptions of school principals analyzing their drawings. In this study, qualitative research design was used. The participants of the study consisted of 363 students in grades 1-4 in Akyurt, Ankara. The data was analyzed with content analysis technique. Students’ drawings were classified into 2 themes and 5 categories according to their similar features. The students mostly emphasized personal characteristics. The results showed that students generally had positive perceptions about school principals. Verbal communications with students, passing time with students, being an element of love, being somebody who makes school beautiful, getting on well with students and being helpful are positive perceptions about school principals. Students defined negative characteristics related to principals as being authoritarian and setting rules.
