Atık biyokütleden aktif karbon üretimi ve enerji depolama alanındaki uygulamaları

Abstract

Our country has hazelnut shells, which can be evaluated as high amount of waste biomass. In this study, applications were made in the field of energy storage by producing activated carbon from hazelnut shells. The hazelnut shells provided for this were subjected to pyrolysis process to produce pyrolytic carbon. The hazelnut shell itself and pyrolytic carbon made from hazelnut shell are activated by KOH. Activated carbon production was achieved by chemical activation process. Activated carbons obtained after the experiments carried out within the scope of the thesis, Nitrogen Physisorption (BET), to determine the surface area and pore structure, Raman Spectroscopy to determine the chemical structure and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) for the determination of the surface morphology techniques. In addition, the use of active carbons in energy storage systems by electrochemical analysis techniques, voltammetry (CV), impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) measurements were examined.
