Abstract

Being one of the reminiscences of Kipchak Turkish language, the dictionary called Codex Cumanicushas has an important place in terms of Turkish language history. In the study, the words in this dictionary were compared with Kirghiz Turkish in terms of vocabulary. The aim of this comparison is to see the common vocabulary between Kirghiz Turkish and Codex Cumanicus, which is one of the historic Kipchak Turkish works and to analyse these stated words in terms of semantics over time.As a result of the study, it was found that Kirghiz Turkish covers the words in the vocabulary of Codex Cumanicus to a large extent except some phonetic changes.Key Words: Kipchak Turkish, Kirghiz Turkish, Codex Cumanicus, Semantics.

Kıpçak Türkçesi dil yadigârlarından biri olan Codex Cumanicus adlı sözlük Türk dil tarihi açısından önemli bir yere sahiptir. Çalışmada bu sözlükteki kelimeler Kırgız Türkçesi ile söz varlığı yönünden karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırmadaki amaç Kuzey-Batı Türk lehçelerinden biri olan Kırgız Türkçesiyle Tarihi Kıpçak Türkçesi eseri Codex Cumanicus arasındaki ortak söz varlığının tespit edilmesi ve tespit edilen bu kelimelerin anlambilim yönünden incelenmesidir.Çalışmanın sonucunda Kırgız Türkçesinin, Codex Cumanicus'un kelime haznesindeki kelimeleri fonetik değişiklikler haricinde büyük oranda koruduğu tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Kıpçak Türkçesi, Kırgız Türkçesi, Codex Cumanicus, Anlambilim.
