Orta yaş sedanter obez bayanlarda pilates egzersizlerinin etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışma, 8 haftalık pilates egzersiz programının orta yaş sedanter obez bayanların fiziksel uygunluk ve kan değerleri üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, obez tanı kriterlerine uygun orta yaşlı 15 sedanter bayan gönüllü denek olarak seçilmiştir. Deneklerin yaş ortalamaları 40 ± 3,251 yıldır. 8 hafta boyunca deney grubuna haftada 3 gün 55 dakika süre ile pilates mat-work egzersiz programı uygulanmıştır. Çalışma süresince farklı bir egzersiz programına katılmamaları konusunda uyarılmışlardır. Tüm deneklerin pilates programı öncesi ve sonrası, vücut ağırlığı, vücut yağ yüzdesi, vücut yağ ağırlığı, yağsız vücut ağırlığı, vücut kitle indeksi, Total-K, HDL-K, LDL-K, Trigliserit ve bel çevresi değerleri alınarak, çalışma sonunda ön ve son test değerlerinin anlamlığı istatiksel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, katılımcıların ağırlık değerleri 86,960±5,041'den 86,080±4,735'e, vücut yağ yüzdesi değerleri 30,8600±2,19538'den 30,620± 2,5978'a, vücut yağ ağırlığı değerleri 27,1813±2,9775'dan 26,532±3,4159'a, VKİ değeri 36,3473±3,1343'den 36,333±2,942'a, toplam kolestrol değerleri 174,6±12,7155'dan 167,866±10,643'a, LDL-K değerleri 122,733± 14,47'den 114,00±10,67'e, Trigliserit değerleri 114,93±14,601'den 106,93±13,068'e, bel çevresi değerleri 100±6,2735'den 99,060±5,9126'e düşüş göstermiştir. Program öncesi ve sonrası HDL-K değerlerine bakıldığında ise 51,866±4,64'den 52,53±5,282'e yükselme gözlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak elde edilen değerler istatiksel açıdan analiz edilmiş, anlamlılık derecelerine göre değerlendirilmiştir.Anahtar kelimeler; pilates, sedanter bayan, obezite, egzersiz
