YENİLİK YÖNETİMİNDE ZAMAN BOYUTU VE ZAMAN TEMELLİ REKABET

Abstract

In the process of transition from national industrial economy to global knowledge economy, organizations pursue their activities under intensive competitive circumstances. In today’s world of business in which the probability of foreseeing the type and speed of change is low, organizations aiming to survive in the long-term have to perceive the destructive threat of competition as invariable. It is inevitable for organizations to meet the increasing and limitless needs and expectations of the consumers with fast methods and to shape them with innovative products in order to obtain competitive advantage. In this context, this study focuses on the time dimension in the innovation management and time-based competition, and aims to determine the competitive priorities reflecting the needs and expectations in the markets that have an increasing competitive level. Moreover, the transformations occurring in the traditional competition paradigm and the concept of time-based competition are discussed and the opportunities presented by the process of fast innovation development to the organizations are elaborated.
