Amitraz, a veterinary drug, causes poisoning with symptoms of central nervous system (CNS) depression after oral administration. In this study, clinical and laboratory findings of 16 patients who applied to our Emergency Outpatient Clinic with amitraz poisoning were evaluated. In all our cases, amitraz was taken orally and symptoms occurred within 30-25 minutes. In all our cases, signs of CNS depression were observed. All our cases healed in 10-3.2 hours.
Veteriner ilacı olan amitraz oral alınım sonrası santral sinir sistemi (SSS) depresyonu bulguları ile seyreden zehirlenmeye yol açar. Bu çalışmada Acil Polikliniğimize amitraz zehirlenmesi ile başvuran 16 hastanın klinik ve laboratuvar bulguları değerlendirildi. Bütün vakalarımızda amitraz oral olarak alınmış ve semptomlar 30-25 dakikada oluşmuştur. Bütün vakalarımızda SSS depresyonu bulguları görülmüştür. Bütün vakalarımız 10-3.2 saatte iyileşmişlerdir.
