Türkiye'de Sicyos Angulatus üzerindeki karpuz mosaik virüsü (WMV-2)'nin ilk tespiti

Abstract

Bu çalışma dünyanın önemli istilacı kategorisinde yer alan ve Karadeniz Bölgesinde istila edilen geniş alanlardan toplanan Sicyos angulatus üzerinde virüs hastalıklarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Virüslerin tanılanması Double Antibody Sandwich ELİSA (DAS ELİSA) testiile Cucumber Mosaic Virus(CMV), Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), Tomato Mosaic Virus (ToMV), Karpuz Mosaic Virus (WMV-2), Zucchini Yellow Mosaic Virus(ZYMV), Squash Mosaic Virus (SqMV), Papaya antiserumlarıkullanılarakyapılmıştır. Yapılan testlerde Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV), Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), Tomato Mosaic Virus (ToMV), Zucchini Yellow Mosaic Virus (ZYMV),Squash Mosaic Virus (SqMV), Papaya ringspot virus (PRSV), Potato Virus Y (PVY) virüslerine rastlanmamış olup sadece Karpuz Mosaic Virüs ( WMV-2) tespitedilmiştir

This study was aimed at determining the disease found on the leaves of troublesome invasive vine Sicyos angulatus collected from Black Sea region. The infested leaves were collected from the field and brought to laboratory for detecting the possible virus infesting the leaves. Total 8 different viruses;Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV), Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), Tomato Mosaic Virus (ToMV), Karpuz Mosaic Virus (WMV-2), Zucchini Yellow Mosaic Virus(ZYMV), Squash Mosaic Virus (SqMV), Papaya ringspot virus (PRSV), Potato Virus Y(PVY) were tested using Double Antibody Sandwich ELISA (DAS- ELISA). Among tested viruses, only Watermelon Mosaic Virus (WMV-2) was identified from the collected leaves. With the results of study, we present the first record of WMV-2 on S. angulatus in Turkey
