Abstract

This study was built about İzmirli İsmail Hakkı's book Felsefe-i İslâmiye Tarihi [Al-Kindi], was published with old letters by Âmire Press at AH 1338. This rare work that was consisted by İzmirli's articles was published in Journal of Theology Faculty of Daru'l-Fünûn, has contain information about the first Muslim philosopher Al-Kindi and Meşşâ'ilik.In the introduction of this study has been given information about author's life, his scientific personality and his works. In the first chapter, the work was analyzed giving data about its printing, information about this work in other works and its content.In the second chapter, text with old letter has been latinised. After a conclusion was written including general evaluation about the study, index of translation text was composed.

Bu çalışma, hicri 1338 yılında eski harfle Âmire Matbaası'nda yayınlanan İzmirli İsmail Hakkı'nın Felsefe-i İslâmiye Tarihi [el-Kindî] adlı kitabı hakkında yapılmıştır. İzmirli'nin Daru'l-Fünûn İlahiyat Fakültesi dergisinde yayınladığı makalelerinden oluşan bu nadir eser, ilk İslam filozofu el-Kindî ve Meşşâ'ilik hakkında bilgiler içermektedir. Bu çalışmanın giriş bölümünde yazarın hayatı, ilmî şahsiyeti ve eserleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde eserin telifi, eser hakkında başka çalışmalarda nasıl bilgiler olduğu ve eserin muhtevası hakkında bilgiler verilerek incelemesi yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde de eski harfli metin latinize edilmiş, çalışmanın genel değerlendirmesini içeren bir sonuç yazısının ardından çeviri metnin dizini oluşturulmuştur.
