Charles Baudelaire ve modernizm

Abstract

This study examines the views of Baudelaire. Baudelarie is one of the first thinkers helping us understand modernity in a simple manner compared to the thinkers coming after him. He differentiates ideological modernizm from the lived modernizm and rejects rational, scientific and progressive tendencies in ideological modernizm. For Baudelarie aesthetic aspects of understanding is more important than academic ones. Therefore, he examines the effects of modernizm on everyday life in an artist sensivity. In this way, he has more similarities with postmodernists than with modernist thinkers.
