Abstract

Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılında Diyarbakır ilinde bulunan ilkokullarda görev yapmakta olan 259 İngilizce öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen “İlkokul İngilizce Dersi Öğretim Programını Uygulamaya Yönelik Yeterlik Algı Ölçeği” aracılığıyla toplanmış olup elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analizler neticesinde elde edilen bulgulara göre ilkokullarda İngilizce derslerini yürüten öğretmenlerin program yeterlik algılarının kıdem, İngilizce ders saatlerini yeterli bulma, çocuklara yönelik dil öğretimi konusunda seminer almış olma ve öğrencilerin yaşı değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu saptanmıştır.
