Radyoloji Teknikerlerinin Alığı Eğitim ile Manyetik Rezonans Görüntüleme Alanındaki Sekans Bilgi Düzeyi Korelasyonunun Ölçülmesi

Abstract

The responsibility of the radiology technician in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit is to take the relevant area of the patient upon request from the physician. At first, the technician selects the patient's body region to be captured (usually over a human figure in anatomical posture) to start the acquisition on the MR monitor he uses. Acquisition options such as anatomical detail, how to lay the patient, whether the acquisition will be contrasted, and routine sequences for the selected region/tissue are displayed for the selected region. Routine sequences were created by highlighting the tissue/structure of interest in the shot. But it is not enough for every examination. It may be necessary for the technician to take additional sequences for effective visualization of the case-dependent condition. Professional knowledge of the technician is very important for the additional sequences to be determined. Questions such as, is the two year Medical Imaging Techniques education sufficient to obtain this ability, how important is the professional experience, are very important. This study was conducted to measure whether the technician's 2-year training is sufficient for successful examination for the case. Medical Imaging Technician's sense of professional competence in an important field such as MRI sequence information was measured by a questionnaire using the developed scale study. The situation was revealed with the questions and answers they gave about measuring the sequence information directed to the technician and about the professional competence.
