Havacılıkta operasyonel aksaklık maliyetlerinin moora yöntemiyle incelenmesi

Abstract

This paper focuses on a general assessment of involuntary irregular operations in the airline industry, provides information on regulative institutions and these institutions’ regulations that bind both the airlines and passengers. Due to airlines’ binding rules for reaccommodation of the passengers, MOORA Multi-Criteria Decision-Making method is applied for both eliminating high transfer and travel times of the passengers and reducing the airlines’ cost value. Then, MOORA’s Ratio Analysis and Reference Point ranking methods are described and literatures provided. Five different itineraries and seven criteria selected for the application of MOORA Ratio Analysis and Reference Point methodologies. The results being accumulated from multiple methods have been compared and the best itinerary option selected for both the passengers and airlines. Consequently, it is demonstrated that selected itinerary option(s) will decrease airline cost and may be transformed to a standalone product that could help companies for their commercial success. In addition, suggestions for the necessity of working with much bigger data sets and different ranking methods in the future for a more robust analysis provided.
