Bu araştırma; özel markalı ürünlerde rekabet avantajı sağlamada, müşteri özeliklerinin ve müşteri tutumlarının incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Amaç doğrultusunda hazırlanan anket, Eskişehir ilinde Dia, Bim, Migros, 101, Şok mağazalarından alışveriş yapan ve araştırmaya katılmayı gönüllü olarak kabul eden 350 müşterisine uygulanmıştır. Anketlerden elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamında SPSS 17.0 istatistik paket programı aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Verileri değerlendirilirken tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metotları (Sayı, Yüzde, Ortalama, Standart sapma) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; perakende sektöründe özel markalı ürünlerin rekabet avantajı sağlamada önemli bir unsur olduğu, ancak bunda belirleyici olanın ise müşterilerin özel markalı ürünlere karşı tutumu olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. This research has been executed to analyze customer types and behaviours in having competitive advantages upon private brand products. The survey serving to this purpose applied to customers of Sok, Dia, Bim, Migros, A-101 and voluntary participants in Eskisehir. Gathered data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 statistical software package in computer environment. As a result; private brand products are important factor in having competitive advantages in retail sector however determining point in this issue is the customers' attitudes towards private brand products. It is determined that specifications of customer are independent towards private brand according to the idea that specifications of customer opinions about private brand products? having competitive advantages show differences.Key words: Private Brands, Competition, Competition Strategy
