Abstract

Tüketme terimi, `tahrip etmek, harcamak, israf etmek, bitirmek` anlamlarını taşımaktadır. Tüketime ekonomik açıdan bakıyor olsak da tüketim kültürel bir yapıya da sahiptir. Jean Baudrillard tüketimi kodlar ve kurallarla düzenlenmiş bir göstergeler sistemi olarak tanımlamaktadır. En önemli kitle iletişim araçlarından biri olan televizyonun etkisi günümüzde gün geçtikçe artış göstermektedir. Televizyon insanların en önemli bilgi kaynaklarından biridir. Hem görsel hem de işitsel özelliği olması sebebiyle hem akılda kalıcı hem de görsel hafızayı canlandırıcı bir etkiye sahiptir. Televizyon dizileri kullandıkları lüks ürünler, evler, arabalar yoluyla insanları tüketmeye sevk ediyor. Bu çalışma Medcezir dizisi üzerinden televizyon dizilerinin gündelik yaşamımız ve tüketim kalıplarımız üzerindeki etkisini ele alacaktır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Tüketim toplumu, televizyon, televizyon dizileri, Medcezir

The concept of consumption means 'to destroy,spend,waste or finish something'. Even though we're looking at an economic standpoint of consumption,consumption has a cultural structure.Which is one of the most important mass media impact of television novadays is icreasing day by day. Television is one of their most important source of information. Due to both visual and auditory feature both catchy and visual memory has an invigorating effect. Especially as the television series that they use luxury products,houses,cars encourages people to consume more.This thesis will analyze the effects of television serials on our daily life and our consumption modes through Turkis TV serial Medcezir.Key Words: Consumption society, television, television series, Medcezir
