Abstract

Wood was probably the first material used for structural purposes by man. Currently a growing interest in this material, which is largely due to their living nature, indeed wood is the only renewable natural resource endowed with good structural properties is observed. The growing demands of housing programs due to population growth make it increasingly demand and use of wood, for this reason it is important to know their mechanical physical properties and thus carry out a good design with this material under study to be determined in the laboratory. Regarding the constructive aspect it should be noted that wood is a relatively easy material work with simple tools, making it possible to achieve a wide variety of shapes and sections. Its lightness means of transport and assembly costs low which is significant when it comes to building a system based on pre-production. For all these mentioned features, currently it is being widely used wood in the construction industry, besides the use of this material prevents environmental pollution. In the Jungle of our Peru, mainly in the region of San Martin wood is widely used in construction mainly in the districts and remote villages. The present investigation tries to explain a scientific and technical way the physical and mechanical properties of wood Copaiba properties as a structural element in building a house so we can avoid further economic and human losses for possible caused earthquakes mainly by poor orientation técnica.La extraction and timber harvesting for commercial purposes, whatever their use in rural or urban area, requires building deuna network of forest roads and necessary infrastructure such as camps, machinery and equipment to operate the man in the forest for 180 days a year, in the work of extraction within the governing body authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture area; concentrating logs in a yard logs, place where they concentrate to be shipped in tranqueros trucks and transfer you to the processing plant, where it should be sawed with suitable ecfuipos and authorized (Sierra, Film or Circular), regulated by Supreme Decree no 039-99-AG.
