Determinación de las propiedades físicas y mecánicas de la madera quinilla de Picota

Abstract

El presente estudio se realizó con la finalidad de determinar las propiedades físicas y mecánicas de la madera Quinilla colorada de Picota (Manilkara bidentata). El material de ensayo procede del bosque situado en el lugar denominado Shansho, que se / encuentra a 35 minutos del distrito de Picota, transportándose en camioneta, por el tramo de carretera Picota- Tingo de Ponaza, este sector según su clasificación ecológica, corresponde a un bosque húmedo tropical. La recolección y selección de las muestras se realizaron de acuerdo a las Normas Técnicas Peruanas. Los ensayos físicos se realizaron de acuerdo a las Normas Técnicas Peruanas. Los ensayos mecánicos de flexión estática, compresión paralela a la fibra, compresión perpendicular a la fibra, tracción paralela a la fibra, corte paralelo a la fibra, se realizaron con las Normas Técnicas Peruanas, empleándose para ello la Maquina Universal AMSLER para materiales (50 tons or 100,000 lb Testing Machines), posteriormente se determino el contenido de humedad de cada probeta al final de cada ensayo. Los ensayos mecánicos de flexión dinámica, (impacto o tenacidad), dureza, se realizaron con las Normas AFNOR (Normas Francesas), empleándose para ello la Maquina Universal AMSLER para maderas (4000 kg. Universal Wood Testing Machine), posteriormente se determinó el contenido de humedad de cada probeta al terminar los ensayos. Las magnitudes se calcularon aplicando los métodos explicados en las Normas Técnicas Peruanas y las Normas Francesas AFNOR, cuyos resultados son aceptables. Los valores estadísticos que se calcularon fueron la media aritmética, desviación standard, coeficiente de variación y limites. Todos los ensayos se realizaron en el Laboratorio de Ensayo de Materiales de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. Finalmente los valores obtenidos de los ensayos, se utilizaron para la obtención de los esfuerzos admisibles, los cuales son utilizados en el diseño de elementos estructurales de madera, tomándose en cuenta los resultados obtenidos de la investigación para los cálculos en el ejemplo de aplicación.

The present study was conducted in order to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the wood of cherry red Quinilla (Manilkara bidentata). The test material comes from forest located in a place called Shansho, that was / is 35 minutes from the district, Picota, transporting truck, along the stretch of road cherry - Tingo de Ponasa, this sector according to its ecological classification, corresponds to a tropical rainforest. The collection and selection of the samples were agreed to the Peruvian technical standards. Those trials physical is performed according to the standards technical Peruvian.
