Abstract

The following carried out research has a quantitative approach, of applied type with proposal, with post-test design and control group; it was proposed to determine the effect of the application of soil-cement previous study of quarries, in the ground of foundation and layer of affirmed for the improvement of the neighborhood road Juan Guerra-Bello Horizonte; for which the longitudinal extension of 8,520 km of the Juan Guerra - Bello Horizonte highway where the experimental tests were carried out was used as a study sample. In the technical works, the traffic study was carried out, obtaining a Daily Average Index of 48 vehicles per day; In addition, according to the study mechanic of soils, the CBR values that allowed to establish the thickness of the claimed using the method of the National Association of Australian State Road Authorities and national technical standards for the design of unpaved roads with low traffic volume were determined. of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, having the thickness of the affirmed obtained without the addition of cement with a CBR of 4.69%, of 37.00 cm and with the addition of cement with a CBR greater than 20% is 15 cm.
