Abstract

El presente estudio se efectuó con la finalidad de analizar los caracteres de la producción y la comercialización del tomate en la zona de Tarapoto. Determinar lo canales de comercialización en general El trabajo se realizó en un periodo comprendido entre diciembre de 1996 y agosto de 1997. La metodología empleada se basó en la obtención de información estadística elaboradas por las oficinas estatales del ramo así como la utilización de encuestas a nivel de productores, minoristas y consumidores. A nivel de productores se encuestó 60 de estos existentes en la zona, de la cantidad de minoristas 50, se realizó las encuestas a 44 mayoristas. A nivel de consumidores se encuestó a 113 de éstos. Los resultados se analizaron principalmente mediante el uso de gráficos, cuadros y distribución de frecuencias. Los análisis estadísticos se dedujeron del empleo de coeficientes de regresión, coeficientes de correlación, ecuación de regresión y coeficientes de determinación, entre las características: número de personas por familia y consumo semanal de tomates, nivel de vida y consumo semanal de tomate. Se estimó la demanda actual y su proyección hasta 1997.

This study was conducted in order to analyze the characteristics of the production and marketing of tomatoes in the area of ​​Tarapoto. Determine what marketing channels generally work was performed in a period between December 1996 and August 1997. The methodology used was based on the collection of statistical information compiled by the state branch offices and the use of level surveys producers, retailers and consumers.
